The “Dr. Lisa Durant-Jones Student Scholarship” was established in 2024 in partnership with Nazareth University to a deserving graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student of African descent.
The “Dr. David Anderson/Sankofa Student Scholarship” was established in 2024 in partnership with Nazareth University to a deserving graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student of African descent.
The “Georgia Youngblood Student Scholarship” was established in 2024 in partnership with Nazareth University to provide financial assistance to a deserving graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student of African descent.
The “Dr. Sibert Douglas Student Excellence Scholarship” was established in 2020 in partnership with Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Gamma Iota Boulé to provide financial assistance to help defray costs of attending a college or university to a student with outstanding achievements in Education, Community Service, Sports, or Arts & Culture.
The “Rita Vie Social Services Scholarship” was established in 2019 in partnership with Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Gamma Iota Boulé to increase representation of African descent individuals in professional careers in Social Services.

Appropriately, the Gamma Iota Boule Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award is named in
honor of Dr. Freddie L. Thomas. Dr. Thomas was a scholar, scientist, poet, musician, inventor,
orator, author and a historian particularly in the areas of African American and Jewish Cultural
History.
