Welcome to Gamma Iota Boule Foundation
The Gamma Iota Boulé Foundation (GIB Foundation) was established in 2016 to positively affect the wellbeing of individuals of African descent, their families, and the overall Community in the Greater Rochester Metropolitan Area.
We are committed to providing direct resources and to act as a catalyst for the creation and development of a network of strategic partners devoted to addressing the challenges in our Community. Through scholarships, grants, programs, and partnerships, the GIB Foundation is helping to deal with responsibilities and issues confronted by individuals of African descent in our Community now, as well as laying a foundation for success in the future.
Why Get Involved
As you know, many individuals of African descent in the Greater Rochester Area are facing serious economic, health, and educational challenges. These challenges negatively affect them, their families, and the overall wellbeing of our Community. Therefore, it is important to the entire Community that at this point in time, we do what we can where we are to help address these challenges. Gamma Iota Boulé Foundation focuses on social and charitable activities dealing with Healthy Living Awareness, Economic Development, Leadership Development, and Advancement of Education. Our approach is to identify, recognize, encourage, and assist individuals and organizations that significantly contribute in these areas on behalf of individuals of African descent. We provide direct resources and act as a catalyst for the creation and development of a network of strategic partners for these purposes. The issues are great, and we need as many individuals and organizations as possible to get involved to provide much needed solutions.
Even though we are relatively new, we have very deep roots. The genesis of our organization goes all the way back to 1904. That is the year that Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, also known as the Boulé, was founded.
